The church at Viñón

The 9th century church of San Julián, at Viñón, seen through the trees that surround the village. Other views of the church and its surroundings are in extras. X1  shows the church (with a house in front of it) from the far side of the bridge in the village; X2 shows the bell-tower and, above it,  the house and stables at Veneros (of which the family are said to have murdered the cura of the church at the outset of the Civil War); X3 shows the church behind what was once the largest and best house in the village, which house is now derelict.
