Lovely Sunday

I walked to church this morning and there was another pocket of sunshine for 5 minutes. I was glad I took my umbrella as it poured down as I walked home. I got soaking wet and needed to change my trousers and socks.
I went over to Kate's for lunch. Her granddaughter Elly had come up from the midlands for the weekend to see them before Christmas as she was going home to Dubai. It was lovely to see her as I hadn't seen her for a while. It was Rachel and Dave's wedding anniversary today a big memory for me so they spent today playing football fixtures with Oscar, a game I made up with a dice. The penalty shootout was genius using a coin. I'm happy to say much to Dave's disappointment I won the tournament on penalties.
I really enjoyed the concert last night it was cold in the church but I really wrapped up warmly. It was so good to hear a brass band play Christmas music.
