Sunday: Curlews and Blue Sky

Showers of rain this morning which cleared by midday, the cloud broke and for a while we had blue sky :-)

I watch the curlews as they fly over our house most mornings on their commute from the beach inland to a field near the main road and their return to the coast at dusk. This morning I decided to go and check them out - they are almost impossible to see when they’re on the ground, blending in with the scrubby grass, but the sun shone for a minute and I managed to get a very poor photo, see extra and zoom in to see pale shapes in the field and the odd crow …

Storm Fergus arrived with a vengeance late afternoon, it’s almost ten o’clock and the wind is howling …
