Cough and wheeze got worse today so cancelled going out to buy Christmas tree. Phoned 111 to try and get prescription for steroids to help my breathing. Was called back by clinician who said as I was having chest pains I needed to go to A&E. Stressed I didn’t want this, pain in lung, only needed steroids. Was told I had no option, they were sending ambulance, even though I didn’t want that. That was at 3.30pm. Seven hours later, with Storm Fergus raging outside, I’m still sat here waiting. Will give it another hour then will attempt to cancel.
