Lucky

I know that Liam is not thinking he was lucky today, his car is a write off, but having been involved in an 8 car pile up, and getting out with minor injuries was lucky in my book. 

It’s been an awful day. As I was driving home from breakfast out, my phone sprung to life with an emergency alert that he had been involved in a crash. Long story short, the ambulance crew were not happy with his high blood pressure and he was taken to hospital. Most fortuitously James was in the area and was able to meet him at the hospital and wait with him until he was discharged in the afternoon. He is very shaken up and still in shock I think when I spoke to him later. Very stressed about not having a car, getting to work etc, 

Me? It’s a while since I’ve felt that deep inner fear and gut wrenching anxiety, but he is ok physically although his neck, shoulder and back very painful. It will take a while for him to get over it mentally.
