After 12 years at our wonderful workplace, my colleague and mate Dave's final moments before departing for pastures new involved the time-honoured ritual of embarassing stories and dodgy farewell gifts.

We thought an old cardigan with leather patches and a pipe would fit in well with his new University of Edinburgh career!
