Levens Hall

We originally were going to meet up with friends for a walk today, but by mutual consent because of the dreadful weather, we all cancelled.

So Deb & I went down to the privately owned Levens Hall, a manor house 5 miles south of Kendal, which is open the three weekends before Christmas this year, and had choirs and brass bands in their entrance hall.

Photography is usually prohibited in the house, but that restriction was lifted today in the hall and a couple of other rooms. The leather wall hangings in this room were particularly spectacular.

The 14mm lens used here, but still shot as a two image (well overlapped) pano, to get "a bit more" in!
