Light Show

J’s sister has been with us this weekend, and this afternoon we had a trip over to Dunham Massey. The plan was to have a look around the winter garden, but we arrived about 5 minutes before last entries, so we did a circuit of part of the park instead, J in the wheelchair as it’s the best mode of travel in this colder weather.

Dunham Massey has lots of people visiting its light trail show when it gets dark, and whilst we weren’t staying for that we did get a bit of a preview of what it’s all about. It was cancelled last night because of the heavy rain and wind, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the same thing happened tonight. A lot of disappointed adults, and especially children. But it does mean that adjoining Dunham Massey is a huge new lake - the River Bollin has flooded and all the fields are under water (extra).

Just in case people visiting the light show forget where they are, it’s spelt out in bright lights.
