I spent an hour in depot vente while Hinde's men fixed the snow tyres.

The rain belted down on the flat roof but it was a fortuitous hour during which I found an old fashioned tin kettle with a red wooden handle for my brother, a model of a biplane for Nico, a deep green 1960's  VW camper van with three little surf boards on it's roof for Gab, a new kitchen for the moulin and deep bowls for onion soup.

I drove round the town in the pelting rain achieving various well organised tasks.

Everywhere I went there was Josette's son, Jean-Michel; early morning in an SUV, mid morning in a red MG and late morning in a golf cart.

During my meanderings I found this door in a street I learnt was called La rue du 11 novembre.
