Today's the day ........................ for a spotlight

This bit of the hall doesn't get to see the sun very often.  

There's just an hour or so at this time of the year, when the sunshine manages to spill over the window sill - and shines in like a spotlight.  Today, it was picking out the beautiful yellow orchid that is still in glorious flower since it was given to us by Will's cousin Jane, at our Golden Wedding Anniversary Lunch back in October.

And all the while, the recently late Scottish playwright, screenwriter, artist and designer, John Byrne (1940 – 2023) looked down on proceedings from his poster on the wall ........................
