A soggy day

Luckily, the winds were not as bad as predicted. They did start blowing around 4 am but I was still able to let the birds out this morning without the fear that something would blow into them.
The rain, on the other hand, was a lot more than predicted. We got 4.1 inches not the 2 inches we were expecting. The ground is mostly frozen so there are lots of small ponds everywhere. The ducks were in heaven.
And we never lost power!! Hurray!
Tonight it will get down below freezing so we'll see how many little ice rinks we have in the morning.
Dan and I walked down the road to look at the water flowing over the road. It was pretty impressive as it filled the field. We watched a number of cars drive through it, going very slow.
So while I had a nice morning with a book in bed, I wasn't a slug all day :-)
