Halifax

We met our daughter and husband in Halifax...a really lovely town!

We looked around The Piece Hall...recently restored...Worth googling.

Then after more wanderings we had a splendid meal at Ricci's.

Then off to Halifax Minster for a concert by folk singers Liza Carthy and Jon Bowden. Lots and lots of applause at the end of the concert for these fine singers! We have seen Liza's parents singing many a time...Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson.

There was an added bonus too...A Christmas tree festival in the Minster. I counted 38 fully decorated trees!

We are just staying one night with Tam and Jim...back home on the train on Tuesday.

What a wonderful festive break!
