Just a Hill!

Well, a new hill appeared in a nearby park. One day when we drove by, we saw a giant pile of dirt. Then a couple days later, it was suddenly green! The kids had a heated debate about whether it was sod or astroturf.

We spent the day at Closer Grampa & Gramma's house across town. On our way home, the kids convinced us to stop by and check out The New Hill. A half hour of thrills and excitement! You'd think they had never seen a man made hill before (well, perhaps).

My kids were sliding down on their bellies, like penguins on the ice! Then they decided to sled down using their siblings as the vehicle. Lots of rolling down, running full speed. Finally, some kids (who came prepared) offered up their corrigated surfboards. Sheer joy.

The funniest part was when they were riding each other down hill and were grabbing fist fulls of the 'rug' to pull themselves down!

The story at the park was that the "green grass" is made from the rubber from old tennis shoes! Nice recycling. I have no idea why they installed the hill.

This picture was taken with my husband's Blackberry. It was blurrier than I had anticipated, but it turns out I kinda liked the blurry effects. It still captures the pure emotions without a doubt.
