Eldest dahlings Birthday Cake (back)Blip

Eldest was 22 yesterday!

She is Vegan and due to things being ridiculously busy at the moment I had wrongly taken a mañana attitude towards Cake.

In a panic I reasoned that supermarkets are awash with vegan options these days and of course they are if a tiny single layer chocolate affair is considered an equivalent to their other offerings. 

Thankfully they did look nice so after procuring two and rushing home after a busy 12hr shift, the buttercream on the bottom layer was flattened, the other stacked of top, the join smoothed together and then the whole affair dusted with a gold spray.

She knew I had cheated but loved it all the same and it didn't last long which is usually a good sign.

Phew!
