Baddesley Clinton National Trust…..

………Elizabethan moated Manor House dressed for a Victorian Christmas.
We decided to go and visit it this morning and arrived about 11:50, then fortified ourselves with an early lunch, as the viewings to the House were on timed tickets and ours was for 13:15.
There is always so much to see.
The house itself is beautifully preserved, and any parts of restoration carefully done.
Once in through the grand entrance across the moat, you begin on the ground floor. There are volunteers on hand to answer any questions which may arise. One volunteer had been doing it for 15 years,
Each main room had a gloriously decorated Christmas tree. Every windowsill and niche adorned with beautiful floral displays.

The dining room was set for Christmas dinner, with extremely lifelike food.
On the upper floor each bedroom had a tree.
Beautifully wrapped gifts laid out beneath each one.
The four poster beds had knitted Christmas stockings attached at the foot, each filled with goodies.
Walking from room to room, along the twist and turns of the corridors with their creaky wooden floors and beautiful old beams, each room reached was a delight. I could have spent ages just looking at all the different things hanging on each tree. No two being the same.
If you live near enough to go and see it, do. It will not disappoint, unless you are not a fan of all things Yuletide!
We had the added bonus on arriving back at the restaurant later to have another coffee before driving home, of meeting another Blipper friend, Hanna and her husband Vic. They were about to go and have their tour.
The drive home was through relentless torrential rain at one point!
The road was awash!
