Peaceful moment
Not too hot today, I ventured out in the morning to try to free some of my plants from their grassy prisons - how is it that when everything else in my garden is struggling to grow, that whispy grass is 3 feet tall?!!
I got most of the Rosemary freed until I was scared off by an ugly spider. I did better on the Lantana's, there are 3 but the middle one seemed to have no signs of life, however, when I got rid of all the grass I found some little shoots coming up so perhaps it will do better now that it can see the light :0)
Then I pretended to clean a bit here and there. But cleaning was boring so I decided to decorate the freshly painted mantle. It's a big ugly hunk of rough wood which someone had painted black, making it a dark blob on the ugly brick monstrosity that we call a fire place - so I painted it white yesterday, much nicer - now if only I could persuade Mr Tex that the brick would look nice in white too :0)
I thought it needed a summery look so I decorated it with beachy things (like you do when you live a gazillion miles from a beach) - now I can look at it and imagine Im at the beach perhaps :0)
I was going to blip it but this picture was nicer...I'll save that for an emergency blip one night when it's 11pm and I'v forgotten to blip something.
This evening I took my cup of tea out on the patio to watch the sheep graze and the sun setting, it was so peaceful, I hope the picture captures the feeling.
