In the grotto

The morning started calmly enough, however my neighbour came running across asking for help with his friend who had fallen over in the bathroom and couldn’t get up.
I helped him get into a more comfortable position, but he was wedged between the bath and toilet, so even between the two of us we couldn’t get him up.
The 999 call suggested it could be up to 16 hours for an ambulance to arrive. Flippin ‘eck.
However within about an hour the community responders arrived, then an hour later the ambulance. Apparently they put an inflatable type stretcher/chair under him and lifted him that way. Clever.

Anyway, he’s not too bad now, most likely a virus threw him off balance at the time so he’s resting.

I was unsure how the day would unfold, but was still able to get out this afternoon and meet Nicoiseannie at Shuttleworth for a quick walk, cuppa and chat. My blip is one of the stained glass windows in the grotto.
