Downriver

Today we visited Greenwich. First a boat from the London Eye up to Greenwich, then a wander around the riverside parts of Greenwich. A lovely Adnam's beer in the riverside Trafalgar Tavern, together with a basket of chips that were among the best ones I've ever eaten. I suspect a chilly weekday afternoon in winter is the best time to visit this pub, if you want a quiet sit-down in the warmth and prompt service!
We moved on to the Queen's House and The Van de Veldes exhibition, a fine exhibition of drawings and paintings of the sea and ships, done by this father and son team who arrived in England in 1672.
We took the train home and ate out in the evening.
Another lovely day in London!
