Bang

A good day on the whole. Pre-Christmas trip to the hairdressers this morning followed by some writing of Christmas cards until I ran out of stamps. It’s always sad to receive a card and hear news that an old friend has passed away this year, this happened to us yesterday, particularly sad because Ken introduced us to tenpin bowling 30 years ago.
We put the tree up tonight, tested it first to make sure it was ok (it’s a pre-lit one) and ten minutes after we had finished putting the baubles on we heard a pop and the lights had blown. We’ve had to put some battery operated string lights on it and will invest in a new tree next year.
