Heliconia

Typically, after a few cloudy days in Rio we left it in some sunshine earlier. Next stop is Foz do Iguaçu and our main reason for choosing to visit Brazil. The spectacular falls. Having already been to Victoria and Niagara this has been on the bucket list for a while  As we approached the airport we were lucky to be on the right, in this case the left side of the plane to catch our first glimpse.

The temperature has been turned up a notch from the 24 we had in Rio to around 32. This afternoon we wandered round the gardens of the hotel and followed the path to the lookout point on the Iguaçu River. We spotted some wildlife but didn't manage any photos. The pool bar does a fine caipirinha.
