Mid-winter

It was nearly a flip-flop wearing day, I saw a few pairs of those today. Some try to stick to the tradition and pretend it's winter. This family was trying out funny hats at the Randle Street market. I fancy a few designs myself, but when would I wear them.

Shortest day of the year, hurrah! Now it will be getting better, longer days. Always liked June Solstice, there are some nice Polish traditions for that shortest night of the year. Now I like it for a completly different reason.
