Hen Pheasant ( Phasianus colchicus )

For most of the year, we haven't had Pheasants visiting the garden.  Recently they have returned, not in the numbers of previous years.  There are only four, in previous years there have been into double figures.  A couple of the cocks were so tame they would eat out of my hand.

 A very pleasant evening with I, we worked together 25 or 30 years ago before he left teaching to buy a caravan site in the north east.  Since then we have met up at least once or twice a year.
