The Alms Houses...
...near Northumberland Park...
Built 1837 - 40 for aged mariners and their dependents on land donated by the Third Duke of Northumberland, whose statue is in the gardens. The architects were John & Benjamin Green.
The tide is high in extras - with waves crashing over the sea wall into the derelict outdoor pool.
Back Oop North after Pilates this morning, but a relaxing evening for a change - the Wallsend Gels Christmas meal is not til lunchtime on Friday ;)
