Flat Battery

I woke later than normal so didn’t go for a swim first thing. Just as well as I subsequently found out that the main pool was closed due to the problems they’ve been having with heating the water.

Mid morning I went out to the car, only to find that I couldn’t even open the door - the car battery was completely flat!  Modern cars may offer benefits in keyless entry, but they do need a viable battery for things to work.  I eventually found out how to get in with an emergency key, so was able to put it on charge. In the meantime I’ve arranged to take it to the garage and I will leave it with them while they diagnose the cause of the battery drain.  It could take some days.
