Herald Angel

I popped into Birmingham for some Christmas shopping today. The German market was busy and amidst all the bustle I spotted this angel atop a Christmas tree looking down on it all. Strangely reassuring and hovering above the bustle and the various Santas and reindeer adorning the rooftops of the market. Despite the frivolity of it all I was reminded of my favourite carol “It came upon a midnight clear”. The extra is more akin to how I felt by the time I headed for home!
