Culminating!

At the end of every school term Spence's class has 'culminating'. This is where the kids usually sing a song and show us what they have doing for the term and do an activity with the parents.

The theme this time was all around the kids adopting a tiger called Charlie from Australia Zoo. We had to help make a poster that was something to do with saving or helping Charlie (because tigers are endangered). We had half an hour to do that and then we went next door into the 'shop' where we could buy photos of the kids or bookmarks, magnets or post cards that they had made. Everything was $1 each and the money raised went towards them adopting Charlie.

It went really well. They were hoping to raise $50 and ended up getting $200! So now the kids can adopt three more animals which they are super excited about!!

Leo came over for the morning and then Joti had a sleep after lunch and I did some tax stuff on the computer! I am trying to get as much done as I can before I go away so there isn't much to do for our tax returns!

In other news, it looks like Kaz's dad, Stu, has had a series of little strokes so he is in hospital while they work out what's causing them. He is fine except for his vision but its quite worrying.
