At the Waterhole
We’ve changed camps! L buttered up the woman in Park reception and we’re now settled into Haak-en-steek Cottage, that being the Afrikaans name for the Umbrella Thorn. Slightly less ants here, though still vicious, but it’s overlooking a waterhole so ideal for sitting outside with a beverage or two while antelope, warthogs, wildebeest, buffalo, springbok and loads of Guinea fowl all came a-calling. And then a family of white rhino appeared, unbelievable and a fantastic highlight of the trip. Well done ACNE tours!
The giraffe is for JacktheLad & was spotted earlier as we did a drive from one end of the park to the other and back. It’s not that big a park!
