Wānaka and Mt Iron

After some welcome rain this morning the day has got warmer and also windier! I wonder if it is going to be the summer of wind? It does happen and really impacts on holiday makers lake activities.

In this photo, you can see the original Wānaka township - we are starting to spread out a lot as more and more people come and live here. We have a whole area called “Three Parks” which has larger stores, while downtown is more small owner operator stores that will appeal to visitors. 
I hope we can retain the character of the place as we grow bigger.
