Birthday Treat

Today I chose where I wanted to go for a day out on my birthday. We ended up at Hodnet Hall Gardens. It was a super day out, walking round lovely gardens.

We also had lunch in the tearooms. Alan did not enjoy the surroundings, and managed to sit facing out of the windows. I'm afraid it all took me back to my childhood when a room in Tamworth Castle was packed with stuffed animals.

So sorry if it upsets you, and Alan tried to get me not to Blip these, but I found them interesting as a symbol of a bygone age, and a bygone attitude.

We saw another octagonal tower too. With the Stafford one that makes two out few in the country.
