Works Complete

The works to repair/restore the Catholic church in Clifford are now complete! I blipped it before, with the scaffolding/netting around the tower and also when they started to dismantle the scaffolding.

The bottom of the tower and the side of the nave remained covered for a few more weeks while they completed work to the “above ground rainwater disposal system” (gutters, gargoyles, downpipes etc.).

Now the tower is clean and bright - and on a sunny day (not today) it almost glows!

The work was funded by assorted grants and the proceeds of the sale of the presbytery next door, which has now been turned into a private residence.
