Raspberry Keytones, 4001
Firstly a heart felt thanks to everyone who visited my journal yesterday and left hearts, starts and wonderful comments. They’ve given such a lift. I responded to many of you this morning and will get around to you all as soon as possible. Not tomorrow though, as I’m on the railway for Santa Specials with a 7.55 book on.
While Susan was visiting her mum I went to the funeral of our band mate, Chris Spratt. As well as playing bass in our ukulele band he was also a member of the Raspberry Keytones, playing mandolin. In a tribute to him at his wake his friend and neighbour Ramsey played Chris’s mandolin in a commemorative set. He was younger than me.
Doreen is holding her own. The care home phoned today to say that following the GPs visit that she will to be referred to the frailty clinic and is in need of extra care to support care home staff which means she will be fast tracked onto the NHS continuing care plan.
