Went along to East Claremont St, where the records of the Army Air Corps (and the Catering Corps!) are allegedly stored. It's still evidently used for training, but doesn't appear to have an office-type presence. Tried some doorbells, and later a phone number that said 'Building access', but no response(s). Hmm, I've only just noticed the letter box - perhaps I'll try sending them a note!

But it wasn't a completely wasted journey as there was a nice bit of serendipity in spotting hazelh (who lives very close) just emerging from her house and helping her mother into the car.
