WE FOUND A BIG STASH!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

Elvis the Elf here.  If you look carefully, you will see me part way up a tree - not the sort of thing I usually do, climb trees, but today, I thought I would have a go - because there didn’t appear to be a fairy or an angel on the top.  I know that sounds rather silly and Admirer would be giggling if she could see me trying to climb a tree, but it was great fun.  However, I didn’t manage to reach the top, even standing on Leighton’s head!

You know that several of the Silly Saturday Gang have gone off to Oz with Kevin the Koala, but we did hear from one of Mrs. HCB’s Blip friends that the weather there wasn’t much better than here, so hope they won’t regret going!  We did hear, though that they are having a great time meeting all Kevin’s relatives, so that’s good news.

The rest of us were left to our own devices so we went hunting because we could smell chocolate - ha ha - bet you didn’t know that we could smell chocolate did you?

Anyway, we found lots and what a stash it was - there were selection boxes and you know what they are - filled with lots and lots of goodies, those dark chocolate filled Lebkuchen - which we know Mrs. HCB is very partial to - frosted wine gums, unicorn iced gems and we even found some biscuits that said “Where’s my Elf?” on the packet.  Of course, I knew those were for me because there were pictures of my cousins on the packet.

You can imagine how upset we were when Mrs. HCB came in and found us just about to open all these lovely goodies and said “Oh no, you won’t” to which we responded “Oh yes, we will!”  However, she was too quick for us and grabbed all the packets.  She told us that they were to go in the Bags of Hope that Gorse Hill Baptist Church are sending out next week for all those families who are finding life very challenging at the moment.

Of course, when we heard that, we were happy to give them up and even said we would give her some of our pocket money to buy some more.  We love to see people happy at Christmas, and if a few bags of sweets and chocolates will help, then we are happy too and we know that dear Admirer would be pleased that we feel that way.

Stay warm and cosy and remember BE KIND - because many people are going through difficult times and finding it hard to manage.  Christmas is a time to spread love and happiness around and we hope you will all do that wherever you live and wherever you go..

Love to you all,
Elvis the Elf and part of the Silly Saturday Gang xxx
