Ooops! No spice!

We don’t like icing so I make MB Simnel Cake, it has a marzipan cooked into it, then just decorated with Marzipan. Suddenly yesterday I realised that the mixed spice was very outdated. So I went to 3 shops and eventually got some, so this morning I’m getting it all ready, made the cake as you can see, (notice the bowl had plenty of ‘lickings’ for me!) I put it in the oven and started clearing up, I noticed the jar of mixed spice still unused and sealed! Oh well I’m hoping it’s still yummy, the bowl lickings were delumptious!
