Firkincrawl 2023

This was our 42nd Firkincrawl - an annual get-together of old work colleagues in London. It started back in 1982 with a visit to the four Firkin pubs that existed at the time. Over the years, the number of pubs visited increased, as the Firkin empire grew, reaching a heady 13 in one day at one point. Then the Firkin chain was sold to a bigger brewer and eventually the whole thing ended.
Fortunately we kept going, just crawling round different London pubs. It has become an essential festive fixture.
This year's crawl started in Wandsworth, then onto Fulham before finishing in Earls Court. We had a good turnout as ever and it was good to see old faces and reminisce about old times.
Today's blip is of a small group of us after enjoying a few prinks at Wandsworth Common.
