These boots are made for walking

These are my new orthotic boots. The one on the left is specially designed via a mould to fit my ravaged foot and the other designed to keep me level.

They are taking some time to get used to and I don’t think I will be a suitable candidate for next year’s Strictly come Dancing, the final of this year’s being tonight.

However, I do have my eye on another rôle. Did you see that Scottish Ballet is recreating Prokofiev’s Cinderella with their production called Cinders?

The twist is that the titular rôle is played by either a man or a women. The audience only know which one they will see at curtain up.

I have no experience in acting nor ballet but I feel with these boots I could be myself among the mice and pumpkins.

On the other hand, Puss in Boots in a pantomime rôle might be better.

Incidentally, where do you stand on rôle with a circumflex or role without?
