Boom, boom, doom and gloom!

There's only one word to describe today - Gloom! Rain and mist from the word go! My Blip was taken from Station Square this morning.

Spent far too much time on the wretched prints for our next Photo Club competition, firstly picking up Anthony, our Treasurer  from the ferry in Oban - he lives on his boat in the marina over on Kerrera - to take him down to his storage box at the far end of town to retrieve some prints. He brought some more prints over from another member who lives on an adjacent islet, and I also met yet another member who was bringing more! This is what happens when you put out a request for pictures! We eventually got 63.

After buying the usual fresh fish from the pier and a visit to the library I spent most of the afternoon with Anthony, sorting the pictures, filling in the forms with the titles and members' numbers and packing them carefully into boxes. When all that was done and the boxes put into carrying bags, I took him back to the ferry, complete with boxes! Early on Monday morning he'll be coming back yet again and catching the bus to Helensburgh and back to deliver the prints to the judge!  I think we should discontinue this competition - you haven't heard the half of it!

Back in the dark and rain to sit down with a cuppa and a slice of cake! The forecast for tomorrow is worse - an orange alert for heavy rain and strong wind, triggering landslides in the southern Highlands and Argyll!

Sounds like a fun day!
