At the Farmers Market this morning I was summoned to a stall full of Middle Eastern Food and forced to taste a cheese borek. (I confess to being a bit of a pushover). It was delicious and I was about to buy one when the stallholder insisted I try the aubergine tagine. Also delicious and I commented that it tasted of cinnamon. At which point he dug out the two pieces of cinnamon bark buried under the surface. That much!
I now fear my Christmas cake will taste a bit feeble.
