A Prickly Little Visitor

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow, 

After I went to bed last night Caro sat with the back door open. She often does this. Crashy gets fidgety if he's shut in and so you spend a lot of time getting up and down to let him out, let him in, let him out, let him in...

You get the idea. 

So if Jasper and Punky aren't about, it's easier to leave the door open. Especially when the evenings are temperate, as they are right now. 

So there was Caro, sitting there watching telly when she was suddenly aware of a little prickly personage walking around on the carpet, happy as you please.

The hedgehog found the cat food and promptly stomped about in it, as hedgehogs are wont to do. He helped himself to the biscuits and I just love how happy he looks in this picture. 

It was raining outside. The carpet was nice and warm under his little feet. This must have been like winning the hedgehog lottery. 

Apparently he took his sweet time. To the point where Caro considered picking him up and putting him out. But in the end, Hedgie took the hint and puttered back outside. 

Caro changed all the food bowls. No-one likes food that a hedgehog has done the Riverdance in.
