70th Birthday Celebration

We were invited to a friends 70th birthday celebration at lunch time today.
This morning it poured with rain, so we were disappointed as they were having an outside lunch with family and friends. However, by the time we got there, the sun came out and we were able to be outside. It was just beautiful.

Her sister made and decorated this cake - it was beautiful, with detailed icing. I asked if she had been to cake decorating classes and she just laughed- she obviously has a natural talent. I recall her mother was a wonderful baker, and the birthday friend is an amazing home cook. So, you can imagine the lovely lunch we had.
