a day for a party.....
today was party day, its one way to keep busy on a saturday. the pic was me and mark pre Melissa's 30th masquerade birthday party. i think this may be a blip first no pic of the babies.
first was the babies turn. it was maisie's 4th birthday party. the location was a lovely village hall in a beautiful location. maisie is such a sweet little girl and a great host. as soon as anyone walked through the door she ran straight up to them, announcing to the room who it was, giving them a massive hug and then taking the gift away to her present pile :)
babies had an amazing time, there was an entertainer, 'alex magic' and a floor full of balloons what more could children want.
first on the agenda was a magic show. erin really amazed me by doing all the actions like the 4 year olds that were there. he was really good with the kids made it very funny for them with lots of interaction. i found myself opened mouthed at many points, my friend had to keep reminding me :)
then there was a bit of dancing, followed by some musical games. now the children were hot and sweaty it was food time. a lovely spread and both my babies gave the food a good go :)
back to the entertainer and next up was parachute time (erins fav), followed by a game of musical chairs. i knew erin wouldn't get this game so i let her run around with the older children and run to sit on my knee after. i hate party games where kids lose as it just devastates them and this did there were plenty of tears!!
a bit more dancing and then he made all the children some balloon models, and choice of model for all of them, swords! well done son, just what a bunch of sweaty sugared up 4 year olds need. but either way they all loved them. caleb managed to un-ravel his in seconds he must of wanted a snake :)
a quick drive home, picked up the kids bag and drove round to my parents to drop the kids off. they are staying with mum and dads tonight a first for caleb and a 3rd time for erin.
mum had lots planned for them as its my dads birthday on monday so she was going to do a tea party for him.
i left them to it to rush back home as it was 6pm by now, to get ready for the masquerade party that me and mark were going to.
i was very surprised how quick i can get ready without two babies around my ankles. we were both all done and ready to go in just over an hour!
everyone was already there by time we arrived (whoops) so we joined everyone outside until we couldn't take the cold any more and moved inside. everyone had made the effort with masks.
the dj played some classic 90's tracks, which just showed how dodgy the music was we all listened to growing up :)
i had not 1 but 3 drinks my first real alcohol since my hen night in aug 2011 :)
as sad as it sounds the bit i was looking forward to the most after out very busy party day was my lie in tomorrow morning, love my babies to the moon and back but i also miss sleeping past 6am.
