The petanque terrains...
...were the place to be this morning...
The first ever knock-out competition, with the draw for pairs at 10am sharp!
A glorious sunny day, but a tad chilly, and so windy it was occasionally hard to stay upright ;)
Despite the gusts,18 stalwart folk turned out, and we had a whale of a time.
Andy and I won our first game, but we were whupped in the semi-final by the eventual winners.
The two Davids who organise the whole thing met in the final, and Roy was in the mix too - but sadly he didn't make it to the winner's rostrum...
The thumbnail is the winning David in action, with the losing David checking whose boule is closet to the coche - the final certainly wasn't a walkover ;)
