Welwyn Garden City

We had a trip out to Welwyn garden City today as the forecast was for a mild day with some sunshine. The forecast was correct.

Welwyn is in Hertfordshire, 25 miles from London. It was founded some 100 years ago by Sir Ebenezer Howard (see extra) who had a vision  that nature was important to health living and he founded an international garden city movement whereby garden cities could be created bringing together the "town and the country.

Welwyn is spacious, green and invites one to wander. Today the town is very tidy and well cared for and would be well worth another visit.
