A healthy appetite

The last two days have been rather an ordeal for me weather wise. Not only has it been hot but also very humid, a combination I cannot cope with very well as I much prefer cooler temperatures. Thankfully, the sun disappeared before I left the house this afternoon and there was also a faint breeze which made the walk with Kahn, the sanctuary's male Turkish Shepherd dog, slightly more bearable for both of us.

Unfortunately this breeze also made it rather difficult to take any photos at the park after the walk as it made everything move each time I was about to get the focus right. Eventually I managed to take a couple of this caterpillar though which was demonstrating its healthy appetite on a rose bush.

I'm still struggling to get my spirits back up after the disappointment of not getting the job I'd applied for but fortunately my cold is progressing in the right direction and I'm able to breathe through my nose again.
