A Sunday in December

I’m still working on last night’s minutes.  There were five Orcadians present and, between them, they knew everyone in the county.  Janes specialism was the Tullochs of the North Isles.  Today there was even more entertaining.  We hosted Ian, who is a full-time Orkney Chair maker.  His wife was at school with CMC.  In an unexpected twist she revealed that ‘as a peedie lassac’ she had a pet eel called Zorro,  It was a conversation stopper.   In fact we had to have a break.

I’d been across to visit my Mum and she was quite perky.  She asked if I’d written to Santa.
