A beck runs through it

I really can't think of any better place to live or work...when the sun is shining!

Happily, today my travels took me on a brief sojurn to see a customer in Hawkshead, which is fantastic as the route takes you through the outskirts of Ambleside before winding back round the opposite side of the lake.

Once you've turned off you pass through Brathay and this lovely sight greets you briefly (or slightly longer in my case as there was a bit of a traffic jam - can't complain, it meant I could snap this!).

It was so hot that I really did have to resist the temptation to dive in. I'm sure that the good people of Brathay were glad that I didn't.
