Tree and lights all done

Another dry day,  Visitors this afternoon, son Mark and the girls, just when I was in the middle of wrapping their presents, so had to break off, make a cuppa then say I will be back in 10 minutes, so hurriedly got them wrapped so they could take them home.

Autumn said her Christmas was spoilt because her mother had said "There is no such person as Father Christmas and the Elf on the shelf won't be happening this year because it was me making the mess he was supposed to make and I haven't got the time this year". Now I know she's 9 and probably didn't believe these things anyway but what sort of a mother does that, even when kids get older they still like the bit of fantasy don't they.
I think as soon as they are old enough they will be moving in with their dad, Grace is already counting the months till she's 16, she's 13 next year.

It was nice to see them and No2 son. They are looking forward to the new puppy on the 24th. Grace has been tasked with walking him and training him, we were going over a few things about how to start calling him back. etc. not too much at once.
