Beef Ribs

Beef ribs, rice, black eyed peas, egg farofa, macaxeira frita (fried casava), and fries.

This was a quite enjoyable dinner around the corner from the apartment of my in-laws. This substantial feast cost what a single entree would at a restaurant back home.

The green lidded bottle by the farofa is a soy sauce bottle repurposed for a ubiquitous Brazilian condiment: mateiga de garrafa (clarified butter).
