Dragonfly

Hubby and I went walking around East Linton today, a lovely little village. The walk was called 'the Poppy walk' and took you through fields edged with poppies, past Preston Watermill (wonderful building) and ended up in a pub with a secret garden - the secret being it was up stairs! The entrance was level with the road but being built on a slope the garden was indeed out of the French doors on the first floor.

I spotted this dragonfly flitting about and landing briefly before taking off again. So I focused the camera and just hoped I would be lucky and my patience paid off (only shoot I got).
We had a great day and the cold cider went down a treat!
