Breakfast by the Lake

We joined friends today for breakfast by Lake Ainsworth in Lennox Head. It's a 'dunal lake' which, despite being separated from the ocean by only a low 100 metre wide sand dune and beach, is freshwater. It is ringed by white-trunked paperbark trees. On a hot day like today, it's a popular place for young families to cool off in a safe environment. And for old friends to enjoy a relaxed al fresco breakfast.
